Snow at Polly's Cove
Polly’s Cove is one of my favourite locations for Milky Way Landscape Photography and is a breathtaking sight to behold at night. As the sun sets and darkness envelops the landscape, the rugged coastline becomes a canvas for the twinkling stars above. The crashing waves of the Atlantic Ocean create a soothing rhythm that blends perfectly with the peaceful atmosphere. The air is crisp and clean, carrying the salty scent of the ocean.
It’s about an hour drive from Halifax to Polly’s cove and is located minutes from Nova Scotia’s iconic Peggy’s Cove.
The Milky Way lines up perfectly for this shot for only a few nights of the year, and I wasn’t about to miss it!
I arrived at this location at 3:30am. After a trek through the woods, I walked through the edge of the tree line to be greeted by this beautiful, rugged, open terrain, and spectacular seascape view. Polly's Cove at night is a true natural wonder that fills the heart and soul with a sense of tranquility and awe.
